Starting eleven comeback in the Saxony Cup? Dynamo Dresden’s Lukas Böder knows what’s important

Dresden – Along with keeper Tim Schreiber (22), he is probably Mister Cup. Lukas Boeder (27) and the goalkeeper wrote cup history with 1. FC Saarbrücken last season. Dynamo Dresden The central defender also knows what is important.

“The national cup is there to win. But it’s not always that easy,” explains the three-time national cup winner. “Especially when you go into the game as favorites, these are disgusting games. You have little to gain but a lot to lose. That’s why you have to get things on the pitch even during an international break like this.”

Whether Boeder can do the same himself is still up in the air. Because the summer newcomer has currently somewhat lost his initial place in the regular eleven.

“The coach has thought about fielding others now. For me now it’s about convincing the coach to do things differently again. I will do that in my own way and then I will get back to playing,” explains the 27-year-old.

“We are having discussions that remain internal. There’s not much you can turn. The coach doesn’t demand that I relearn my football, it’s clearer.”

The cup game at Chemnitzer FC on Saturday (2:05 p.m.) would certainly be another opportunity to get coach Thomas Stamm talking about a strong performance.

In his previous two starting eleven appearances in Aue (0:2) and at 1860 Munich (3:2), Boeder didn’t leave the best impressions and was sometimes too easily outplayed in both games.

“We’re not that far apart in terms of quality in central defense. Nevertheless, you want to stand out. I want to show that to the coach with clarity and stability. Then we’ll see when things turn around again. I hope that I get playing minutes “I can show the team what good I can do for them.”

After all, he knows from his own experience from the preparationwhat the SGD can expect from the Sky Blues: “These are completely different games, but we roughly know what to expect. Chemnitz was very disgusting back then, but it went well. Still, it’s a different game. But we know that.” It must not be the case.
