Arrest at Magdeburg main station: Federal police catch wanted man!

Magdeburg – At the main station in Magdeburg On Wednesday, the federal police were able to arrest a man who was wanted on an arrest warrant.

According to the Federal Police Inspectorate, a patrol checked the 39-year-old at the train station. When his personal details were checked, it emerged that there was an arrest warrant for the German from the Mainz public prosecutor’s office.

In February 2020, the Mainz district court sentenced the man to a fine of 1,500 euros or a substitute prison sentence of 50 days for obtaining benefits by fraud.

Since the amount of money sought had not yet been paid out and there were unknown stays, the arrest warrant was issued in May 2022.

The federal police informed the 39-year-old about the matter and arrested him. At the office, the man then pays the outstanding amount of money as well as the procedural costs of 73.50 euros.

He was then able to leave the office again. The authorities in Mainz were informed about the implementation of the police measures.
