An Instagram reel from a German user received so many clicks that it broke the world record.

Upper Franconia – A man from Upper Franconia has broken a record. An Instagram reel he uploaded is currently (as of 11/102024) the most clicked in the world. The previous record was exceeded by hundreds of millions.

The video was posted on the “motoreport” channel. The user behind it: Matthias Luft from Upper Franconia. He published the video together with Anja Hager around four weeks ago. You can see a kind of crash test. A car drives into the side of another car with air in it. Apparently it only gets crashed by a dummy made of foam. As Luft shows in the video, his belt tightens before the impact and the window closes automatically. Dramatic music plays during the approximately 10-second video.

Air to record Instagram reel: “Absolutely awesome”

A record number of users was reached: 735,000,000. The video has views. A significant jump compared to the previous record video. That had around 150 million fewer views. Luft and Hager posted the video spontaneously while on vacation in South Tyrol.

(By the way: Our Bayern newsletter informs you daily about all the important stories from Bavaria.)

He says: “We went hiking and then thought we would post this now […]. I didn’t watch it again until two hours later and I think after two hours we had 80 million views. It went completely through the roof. Absolutely awesome.” He’s not so sure whether the video could break the billion dollar mark. However, he would wish so.
