Black is the new black: The color is and remains a fashion classic, especially in the cold season. The stars are now also putting on goth fashion – inspired by the cult figure Wednesday.

As soon as the days get shorter, things get darker in the fashion world: muted colors are an absolute must-have in the wardrobe in autumn and winter. One color in particular stands out: black. “All black is simply classic. It always works,” says Sharon Battiste (32) at the launch of Deichmann’s new “Wednesday” collection in Berlin. Model Elena Carrière (28) adds: “I just love black. Less is more and a little calmer.” The model likes to combine a completely black outfit with colorful accents: “A red bag or red nails or red shoes, but nothing more.”

Wednesday doesn’t just inspire the stars in terms of fashion

Reality star Jolina Mennen (32)’s wardrobe consists of 90 percent of the dark tone: “Black is my happy color,” she admits. That’s not the only reason why the influencer can identify with the style of “Wednesday”: “I think it’s really cool to follow a teenager who’s a little different growing up. I have the feeling that ‘Wednesday’ conveys a lot more than just that just a good mood.”

Musician Elif (31) was also inspired by the Netflix series – fashionably and artistically. “I even included the Wednesday look in a music video,” she explains. “I like Wednesday because she’s so confident. She’s different from everyone else, but she doesn’t let herself get carried away. I like outsider types like that.” According to her own statement, she generally only wears black: “That’s my favorite color, it belongs to Elif.”

For content creator Twenty4tim (24), Wednesday is not just a fashion icon: “With her sarcasm and her unique looks, she shapes the world she lives in and does her thing, no matter what others think of it – an important message for teens.” The former jungle camp participant knows the advantages of the color black: “It flatters the figure. I also like to wear really bright colors, but I actually think the vibe and style of goth fashion is really cool.”

It has to be comfortable: celebrities love these shoes for fall

And the celebrities not only agree on their favorite color for the cold season, but also on autumn footwear. Elena Carrière knows exactly what the perfect autumn boot looks like for her: “I love chunky boots. I love platform boots that are still easy to walk on. And I love black,” she explains: “One shoe changes everything.”

Sharon Battiste also sees it this way: “I have now learned that my shoes – no matter where I am – play a big role. But the main thing is that they are comfortable.” The 32-year-old explains: “I love platform boots. I love anything that’s a little higher because I often wear long pants that sag a little on the floor.”

Reality star Jolina Mennen is also a fan of “really fat boots” – especially because of their comfort. “For me, the shoe is the most important part of the outfit. For years, as a trans woman, I always tried to live up to the beauty ideal of a woman wearing high, beautiful stilettos and I couldn’t really enjoy the evening at all,” she explains. “Now I say: The main thing is that the shoe is comfortable. If I can’t walk in it and enjoy the evening, it’s the wrong shoe for me.”

For the launch of the new “Wednesday” collection, Deichmann staged the mystical cosmos of the cult character from the Netflix series for around 150 guests in the Berlin music brewery – with candlelight, wafts of mist and its own “pimp-your-boots station”. Among the guests were influencers and stars such as Helge Mark Lodder (30) and the current “Bachelorette” Stella Stegmann (27).
