Alba Berlin also loses at FC Barcelona

The basketball players from Alba Berlin missed a surprise in the Euroleague. Despite a strong performance, the Bundesliga team had to admit defeat to two-time champion FC Barcelona 73:88 (37:43). For Alba it was the second defeat in the second game of the premier class. The best Berlin throwers were Martin Hermannsson with 13 and Will McDowell-White with twelve points.

The Berliners initially had problems finding their rhythm against the big favorites. She was quickly 0:6 behind. But the guests are unimpressed and fight their way through very attentive defensive work in the party. They got back to within one point midway through the first quarter (10:11).

Alba was now fully involved in the game and kept at it. In the second period, however, the ball losses increased, which Barcelona punished coldly with quick counterattacks. But the Catalans are now also making mistakes and Alba came close again and even took the lead for the first time 107 seconds before the end of the third quarter (54:53).
