Millis magic towels from Kaltenkirchen again in the TV show Den der Löwen

Kaltenkirchen. A year ago, Kristina and Patrick Vock from Kaltenkirchen convinced all five jurors of the TV founder show “The Lions’ Den” with their product “Millis Magic Cloths” – and were able to secure a deal with Nils Glagau, owner of the pharmaceutical sales company Orthomol. The wipes are intended to help against so-called diaper rash, i.e. a sore baby’s bottom. Now there is a reunion with the start-up on the Vox show.

On October 21st, the two founders of the start-up Skincura GmbH from Kaltenkirchen can be seen again in the TV show “The Lions’ Den” from 8:15 p.m. This time, however, the couple will not be vying for the investors’ favor. Instead, they get to tell their own success story in the show’s anniversary season.

Start-up from Kaltenkirchen on “The Lions’ Den”: filming in August

Filming for the performance will take place in August. “The show will primarily be about how our company developed after taking part and how the collaboration with our lion Nils Glagau went,” says managing director Kristina Vock in an interview with our editorial team. “We were really happy to be there again and, like last year, it was very exciting for us.”

For the shoot, the parents traveled to Sweden in their old VW van to visit a start-up partner with their investor. A lot has happened since her participation in the founders show was broadcast in September 2023. Their “magic towels” are now not only represented in all drugstores nationwide, but are already available in ten countries in Europe.

After “Lion’s Den”: The couple from Kaltenkirchen have already sold 170,000 magic towels

In addition to all German-speaking countries, the product is now also available in Scandinavia, for example. “We sold around 170,000 packs for 4.99 euros in the first year,” reports Vock. The first Asian country is scheduled to be opened up at the beginning of 2025. “We are currently preparing everything for market entry in South Korea,” says the managing director. “It makes us happy that we will soon be able to help even more families with our magic towels.”

The coming weeks should also be exciting for the couple. In addition to “Milli’s magic towels,” the Kaltenkirchen-based company will bring two other products onto the market in mid-November. Numerous clinical and dermatological studies have been carried out in recent months.

On the one hand, the start-up has developed a medical product that treats wounds easily and effectively. “Our new product “Millis Forte” contains carefully selected ingredients that have been proven to have a calming and healing effect on the skin,” says Patrick Vock. The product can be used to care for babies as well as help with children or adults.

The second new development is baby wipes made from 100 percent bamboo. “The wipes have a very sustainable approach and enable an effective sitz bath for babies with purely natural active ingredients,” says the couple. All of their products are free from harmful chemicals and vegan.

If you would like to find out more about the topic of baby care and mother’s health, you can listen to the podcast “Millisbaby” on the audio streaming service Spotify. In the episodes, the founders share personal experiences and speak to experts such as midwives and nurses.
