Daughter celebrates her baby’s gender reveal

Hailie Jade Scott, 28, daughter of US rapper Eminem, 51, revealed the gender of her baby on her podcast “Just A Little Shady”. As a video for the episode shows, the influencer and podcaster and her husband Evan McClintock had a balloon with confetti in the corresponding color placed. Hailie Jade also looked back on the moment she broke the good news of her father’s pregnancy.

A football jersey revealed the secret

Eminem announced his daughter’s pregnancy in a touching music video for his song “Temporary” at the beginning of October. The clip features dozens of Hailie Jade Scott’s old home videos. Towards the end of the video, the proud father shares a new video of himself and his daughter together announcing that she is expecting her first child with her husband Evan McClintock. She gives her father a blue soccer jersey with the inscription “Grandpa” and the number 1 as well as an ultrasound photo. Eminem’s jaw drops and his eyes widen in disbelief.

“We gave my father a jersey that says Grandpa on the back, and it worked perfectly,” explained Hailie Jade in her podcast. “He was worried at first and said, ‘I don’t have a present for you.’ I said: ‘No, no, that’s just for the football season.’ When he saw the jersey, the rapper reacted again with surprise and asked his daughter if she wanted to call him ‘old’ because of the print. It was only when the ultrasound image was shown that the musician realized it: “He said: ‘Wait, that’s real. This is really happening,’” his daughter said. “If you saw the video, that was my father’s real reaction.” To announce it to the rest of his relatives, Eminem immediately put on the shirt and proudly presented it while watching football together.

At the end of the episode, the couple, who said they deliberately didn’t want a big gender reveal party, then answered the question about the gender of the baby. Hailie Jade placed a balloon in her husband’s hand, revealing blue confetti. “It’s a boy,” Evan McClintock confirmed the meaning of the color.

As People magazine reports, Hailie Jade and Evan McClintock met at Michigan State University in 2016. After six years of dating, the couple got engaged in early 2023. More than a year after their engagement, Hailie Jade announced in May 2024 that the two had married in a post on Instagram with her wedding photos.

Hailie Jade comes from the wild marriage of Eminem and Kimberly Anne Scott, 49.
