Ukraine’s border guards publish up-to-date information on combating human trafficking

Since the start of the all-out war, Ukraine’s State Border Guard Service has uncovered 630 “organized criminal groups” specializing in illegal human trafficking across the border.

A spokesman for the SBGSU, Andriy Demchenko, said this on national television, reports a Ukrinform correspondent.

“Throughout the period of martial law, our employees, together with other law enforcement agencies, uncovered 630 criminal groups (that illegally smuggled people across the border – editor’s note). This number refers to groups in which a much larger number of accomplices were involved – both masterminds and local guides are punishable for their actions,” he said.
