In the ninth game of the season 1st Class South/East A delivered each other Dechantskirchen II and UFC St. Jakob/W. / Festenburg Exciting and goal-rich duel. The encounter ended with a 6:4 win for the guests from St. Jakob/W. The offensive forces of both teams dominated in the first half, while the game was a little more even in the second half. The guests’ impressive comeback was a central element of this exciting party.

Furious start from Dechantskirchen II – after 26 minutes the hosts lead 3-0

Dechantskirchen II started the game with a bang and took the lead 1-0 in the 3rd minute through Patrick Hofer. This early lead gave the hosts a noticeable boost, and just twelve minutes later Michael Fabry made it 2-0 with a penalty. The home team seemed to have the game under control when Matthias Kaltenbacher even made it 3-0 in the 26th minute.

But the guests from St. Jakob/W. showed morale and fought their way back into the game. In the 30th minute, Filip Dudajek opened the comeback with his goal to make it 3-1. Just five minutes later, Nikola Trstenjak made it 3-2 and further reduced the gap. The game took more and more of a drive and before the break the guests were able to equalize through David Friesenbichler, which meant the party was completely open again.

UFC St. Jakob/W. shows comeback qualities – 3:5 at the break

The final phase of the first half remained dramatic when Nikola Trstenjak scored his second goal in the 45th minute and gave the visitors the lead for the first time. But that wasn’t enough, because Christof Wetzelberger increased the score to 5:3 for UFC St. Jakob/W shortly afterwards. This meant that the hosts’ previously convincing lead was transformed into a serious deficit.

The fight continues after the break

In the second half, Dechantskirchen II continued to fight to turn the game around. Michael Fabry reduced the score to 4:5 in the 63rd minute, which increased the tension in the match again. The party developed into an open exchange of blows in which both teams had chances to turn the party in their favor.

But it was Christof Wetzelberger again who put the finishing touches in the 90th minute and secured victory for UFC St. Jakob/W with his goal to make it 6:4. finally sealed. These goals also mean the end of a memorable game that offered the spectators numerous highlights and the guests from St. Jakob/W. Gave us three valuable points.

Overall, the game was characterized by its many goal area scenes and the remarkable morale of the guests, who did not allow themselves to be discouraged by a three-goal deficit and left the field as deserved winners in the end. Dechantskirchen II has to rally again after this spectacle in order to collect points again in the coming games.
