The Stone of Madness – release date, demo and trailer

The tactical stealth adventure “The Stone of Madness” has now received an official release date for PC (Steam and EGS), Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5. As publisher Tripwire Presents and developer studio The Game Kitchen have now announced, the game will be released on January 28, 2025 for the platforms mentioned.

If you would like to create one in advance, you can download and try out a demo version that is available for download as part of the Steam Next Fest (October 14th to 21st, 2024).

“The Stone of Madness” is set in a Spanish madhouse in the late 18th century. The story focuses on five mysterious characters who were imprisoned there under various pretexts. Plagued by madness and despair, they must find a way out of captivity.

The developers rely on stealth and strategy elements. Each character begins the game with different traumas and phobias. Sanity can deteriorate depending on how the game progresses. However, characters can also unlock positive abilities or reverse the negative effects on their sanity by finding stones scattered throughout the monastery that have special properties.
