Apple iPhone SE 4: Case leak suggests new design without action and capture buttons

The fourth-generation Apple iPhone SE has already been seen in CAD and render images over the past few months, while rumors suggest that mass production will begin in October, ahead of the smartphone’s expected launch early next year. @SonnyDickson, who has been involved in several accurate Apple leaks in the past, was now able to publish a first image of a protective case for the successor to the iPhone SE 3 (approx. 450 euros on Amazon).

The image confirms previous leaks, according to which the iPhone SE 4 will have a more modern design for the first time, including a flat frame and a larger, pill-shaped camera module. However, this is only supposed to house a single camera, the remaining space is supposedly used for the LED flash. The protective case also suggests that the fourth generation iPhone SE will neither receive the capture button of the iPhone 16, nor the action button that was introduced with the iPhone 15 Pro; instead, Apple is sticking with the well-known silent slider in the cheapest model release .

According to previous rumors, the fourth-generation iPhone SE is identical to the iPhone 14 in many ways, from the 6.1-inch, 60 Hz OLED display to the single 12-megapixel front camera. The iPhone SE will receive three significant upgrades. Firstly, the device offers a USB-C port, secondly, a higher resolution 48 megapixel main camera that can take 12MP photos with 2x zoom through digital magnification, and thirdly, a modern processor that enables support for Apple Intelligence.
