The Detroit Lions could only celebrate their commanding 47:9 win over the Dallas Cowboys on Game Day 6 of the NFL. Last year’s semi-finalist lamented Aidan Hutchinson’s outing. The 2022 No. 2 pick broke his tibia during a sack on Dallas’ quarterback Dak Prescott in the third quarter.

The 24-year-old, who describes a great-grandfather from Ticino and a World War hero as one of his role models, needs surgery. According to US media reports, his season is probably over.

Worst home bankruptcy in 36 years

It was the Lions’ 4th win of the season. Quarterback Jared Goff threw for 315 yards and 3 touchdowns. In the strong NFC North division, Detroit is in second place behind the undefeated Minnesota Vikings. Dallas suffered its clearest home defeat since 1988.

The matchday was marked by strong performances from the away team. 9 of the 13 matches played so far ended with guests celebrating. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers scored even more points than Detroit (despite 3 turnovers) at 51:27 in New Orleans.
