Vantage M3: hints at new GPS multisport smartwatch

We have already reported on the manufacturer Polar several times here. Like Garmin, it offers watches like the Vantage V3, not least for active users who want to benefit from smart functions such as notifications. According to a recent media report, Polar could be working on a new edition or a new version of the Polar Vantage M3.

A Reddit user found a code fragment in a Fitbit app that very much suggests the existence of the Polar Vantage M3. This is described in a section of the program code. It is not unusual for manufacturers to prepare apps for new products – usually without even considering the possibility of communicating relevant information ahead of time. Depending on the interest of the user base and media, this can go completely unnoticed and in other cases it can quickly become public knowledge. Basically, this entry in the software could also be an error, but it does suggest a new version of the Polar Vantage. Specifically, the Polar Vantage M2 was brought onto the market in 2021 and is therefore an older device that could definitely use a new edition.

The Polar Vantage M2, which is still available, should not differ too much from a possible successor in terms of its basic system. The Vantage M2 is a round smartwatch with a GNSS module, which allows you to record the distance traveled. Running programs are supported, and the load should be able to be displayed in different training sessions for different parts of the body. Nighttime recovery can be measured and several smartwatch functions are available. You can navigate through playlists and display a weather forecast as well as notifications.
