Pokemon developer Game Freak has suffered a huge leakwhich led to a huge amount of supposed information about old and upcoming Pokémon games surfacing online, and it is now claimed that the source codes for Legends: ZA And The unannounced 10th generation games are out.

We know quite little about it Pokemon Legends: ZAaside from the fact that it’s set in the legendary Lumiose City of Of course, with the launch of the ninth generation of Scarlet and Violet in 2022, it was only a matter of time before the next iterations came our way, but I don’t think anyone will was expecting to find out something about her in 2022 in a way like this. Due to this wave of alleged leaked information, it has been claimed that Gen 10 is codenamed Gaia, so make of that what you will, but rumors that the source code has breached containment are certainly far more concerning for developers.

The source code contains the essence of how a game works – there’s a reason why most developers don’t publicly release the source codes of their games. In this case, for it to supposedly be available for a game that we haven’t seen any gameplay footage of yet, And because a concept that hasn’t even been announced yet would be considered catastrophic.

One should keep in mind that with this flood of leaks, there will inevitably be a lot of fake leaks and claims. At the time of writing, there doesn’t appear to be any solid evidence that the source codes are available, although there are rumors that the person who supposedly got their hands on them is intentionally withholding spoilers until the games’ respective releases.

Game Freak shared a statement (translated by Google) last Thursday, October 10, and admitted that there had been a loss of personal data of its employees following “unauthorized access by third parties to our server in August 2024”. What’s worth noting, however, is that the statement doesn’t refer to any information being leaked about the games, so the company appears to have neither confirmed nor denied that the rumored information is true. How things will continue and what consequences the leak will have remains to be seen.
