Riizes Seunghan leaves the group shortly after his planned return: “Our decision hurt the fans”

Riize member Seunghan ends up not returning to the band.

In a statement released on the band’s official social media account, it was announced that Seunghan will not be returning to the group days after his return.

“We are particularly sorry that we are prioritizing Wizard Production’s position instead of making the growth that the six RIIZE members have achieved through hard work our top priorities; the support of BRIIZE, who have been RIIZE’s greatest source of strength on this journey; and the preciousness of the time RIIZE and BRIIZE spent together,” the post reads.

“We made this decision after discussing it for a long time because we thought that if Seunghan returned after reflecting on his past transgressions, we could bring greater joy to the artist and fans, and RIIZE as a group a further level of growth would show.” the statement continued.

The group then apologized for the “confusion” and apologized for hurting fans.

“However, in announcing his return, we carefully considered each and every opinion and response from fans and realized that our decision actually caused more harm to fans and instead caused greater confusion,” the statement said.

“Out of respect for the artist’s decision, we announce that Seunghan is leaving RIIZE instead of joining the group. We will support Seunghan in the future so that he can show his talents and achieve his dreams,” they added.

The group concluded the announcement with an apology and said that the group would be supported in the best possible way moving forward.

On October 11, it was announced that Seunghan would be returning to the group in a social media post, where he expressed his optimism about Riize’s future.

“We [Wizard Production] Even before their debut, we put our heart and soul into planning RIIZE and came to the conclusion that the next chapter of RIIZE would be even more meaningful if the seven members were together. Therefore, after numerous discussions with the staff and members about the direction of the group’s future activities, it was decided that Seunghan will return to the group,” the statement said.

Seunghan had previously taken a break from Pumpkin when photos and videos from his personal life ahead of the group’s debut were leaked online in November 2023. Accordingly The Hollywood ReporterIn the leaks, he was seen kissing a woman in bed and smoking a cigarette.

Riize has not commented further on the matter.
