Four were arrested after a warrant led to a drug bust in Jefferson County

Four people were arrested after a warrant led to a drug raid in Birmingham on Friday.

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office said Oct. 11 that its deputy and narcotics division and members of the United States Marshal Service executed a warrant at 221 67th Place North.

During the execution of the warrant, the Sheriff’s Office said probable cause for a search warrant was discovered.

During the search warrant, the Sheriff’s Office said investigators found numerous items related to illegal drug sales and drug trafficking.

The sheriff’s office said crack cocaine, marijuana, tramadol and methamphetamine, as well as eight guns were seized.

“Continued collaboration between our detectives and our federal law enforcement partners is urgently needed. It is of utmost importance to remove drugs and weapons from the streets. “They work hard to keep the citizens of Jefferson County safe,” said Sheriff Mark Pettway.

The following people were arrested:

  • Curtis Deangelo Pelt, 33 years old. The suspect was charged with drug trafficking with a bond set at $100,000. The suspect has been released on bond from the Jefferson County Jail.
  • Caroline Elizabet Medley, age, 46. The suspect was charged with 2nd degree possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, failure to appear on a felony and two counts of failure to appear without bond. The suspect is in custody at the Jefferson County Jail.
  • Savannah Tyler Dagenais, 32 years old. The suspect was charged with drug trafficking without bail. The suspect is in custody at the Jefferson County Jail.
  • Giovanni Austin, age 43. The suspect was charged with misdemeanor failure to appear without bail. The suspect is in custody at the Jefferson County Jail.
