Watch WWE’s Stephanie Vaquer make her killer NXT in-ring debut

Watch WWE’s Stephanie Vaquer make her killer NXT in-ring debut

After her surprise appearance on WWE television during last week’s NXT broadcast, Stephanie Vaquer was scheduled to have her first NXT match in the ring on tonight’s episode, facing No Quarter Catch Crew’s Wren Sinclair. Sinclair impressed early on and lobbied hard to sign the big WWE Superstar, but it didn’t take long for Vaquer to show why she was surrounded by so much hype leading up to her debut. Vaquer was impressive throughout the match, impressing the NXT crowd and even the ringside crowd. You can see all the highlights from the game in the video below.

The crowd was clearly on Vaquer’s side, but Sinclair got the first hit, only to be nearly pinned by Vaquer moments later. The two countered and then Vaquer was able to get Sinclair to submit, but Sinclair impressed with her own submission skills. Vaquer managed to knock Sinclair to the floor and get a pin, but Sinclair got back to her feet, although she ran into a big boot from Vaquer that sent her flying toward the turnbuckle.

Vaquer’s momentum was momentarily halted, but she regained momentum with a leg drop that resulted in Sinclair hitting her face into the mat multiple times. Sinclair’s crew was pretty shaken afterward, but Sinclair wasn’t done yet, fighting back and delivering big attacks to Vaquer. Unfortunately, Vaquer turned around and threw Sinclair into the corner, setting up the double knee strike that sent Sinclair into the turnbuckle. Vaquer then grabbed Sinclair and hit the vicious finisher, capping the match with a sore knee to Sinclair’s back and securing him the pin and the win.

On the way to chaos

Vaquer was beaming after the win, but she couldn’t celebrate for long as Roxanne Perez and Cora Jade ran out and attacked Vaquer right after, kicking and kicking the newest NXT star. That’s when Giulia ran to make the save, driving both Perez and Jade back and giving Vaquer enough time to regroup and join her for a kick that knocked both Perez and Jade out of the ring and to the floor. Then Vaquer issued a challenge for Halloween Havoc, but it hasn’t been made official yet.

Stephanie Vaquer signed with WWE earlier this year, and although this is her first match in NXT, she actually made her WWE in-ring debut earlier this year in Mexico. WWE held several live events in Mexico and Vaquer had the chance to jump into the ring for a match against Isla Dawn at an event in Mexico City. She impressed in her debut and also gave a promo before leaving the ring saying, “Good evening Mexico City, how are you?” Today I’m here fulfilling a dream and it’s an honor to be part of the WWE family to be. But you know, it’s best that my debut is here in my homeland and with my Mexican people.”

When she competes at Halloween Havoc, it will be a very special show, especially if she teams up with Giulia against Jade and Perez. We already had round 1 of Perez against Giulia, which was interrupted by Jade. So while we wait for Round 2, we have one more singles match to watch between Vaquer and Perez.
