Teenager charged with criminal breach of trust after damaging car windscreen in Sennett

A teenager is facing misdemeanor assault charges after he allegedly damaged a vehicle’s windshield during a domestic incident in Cayuga County, the sheriff’s office said.

Ava B. Brier, 18, was arrested Oct. 10 after officers responded to reports of a disturbance involving a vehicle traveling on Franklin Street Road near the Auburn city limits in the town of Sennett, according to Sheriff Brian Schenck. Investigators determined that Brier, who was a passenger in the car, recklessly kicked the windshield, causing damage.

Brier was charged with fourth-degree criminal breach of trust, a misdemeanor. She was taken to the Cayuga County Public Safety Building where she was arraigned in CAP Court and released on her own recognizance.
