Arrested again for shooting on Smith Avenue, Bradford

Officers were called to Smith Avenue in Wibsey just after midday on Saturday.

There was damage to a door and a window on the property.

No one was injured, West Yorkshire Police confirmed.

A 21-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possessing a firearm with intent to endanger life.

He has since been released on bail pending further investigations.

On Tuesday evening, a 22-year-old man was arrested for the same crime.

He remains in custody.

Latest statement from West Yorkshire Police

A police spokesman said: “A 21-year-old man who was arrested in connection with a firearms discharge on Smith Avenue in Wibsey on Saturday October 12th has been released on bail pending further inquiries.”

“Last night (Tuesday 15 October) officers arrested another man in connection with the firing.

“A 22-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possessing a firearm with intent to endanger life.

“He remains in custody at this time.”
