The upcoming third season of Monster with Sons of Anarchy star Charlie Hunnam has poured Laurie Metcalf, Tom HollanderAnd Olivia Williams. The Ryan Murphy The production follows the story of serial killer Ed Gein (Hunnam), who inspired the film Psycho (1960). In the 1950s, Gein was arrested for killing several people, digging graves and collecting personal items from their remains. Here’s everything we know about the roles the new cast members will play.

Actor of the third season of Monster

Netflix has confirmed that The Big Bang Theory Laurie Metcalf will play the role of Ed Gein’s mother Augusta, while Tom Hollander will play legendary director Alfred Hitchcock. Olivia Williams rounds out the cast as Alfred’s wife, Alma Hitchcock. Veteran actress Metcalf has never worked with producer Ryan Murphy before. She is an Emmy and Tony winner and was nominated for an Oscar alongside Greta Gerwig Lady Bird.

Hollander recently worked with Murphy Feud: Capote vs. The Swans. He played another famous character, Truman Capote, in the real-life inspired period drama. He was nominated for an Emmy Award for his work as Capote in the second season. Williams will be the headliner Dune: Prophecy Prequel series alongside Emily Watson and Taboo. She also appeared as Camilla Parker Bowles in the final two seasons of Netflix The crown.

About the Monster Anthology

The first season of Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story Premiering in 2022. Each season focuses on a notorious murderer or murder. Evan Peters, who played Dahmer, and Niecey Nash, who played his neighbor Glenda Cleveland, both won awards for their performances. The controversial first season is the third most watched Netflix series on English-language television.

The second season, which premiered on September 19th, is also all about Netflix’s current TV character. Nicholas Chavez and Cooper Koch play Lyle and Erik Menendez, who were sentenced to life in prison for the murder of their parents in 1996.
