Following the Arctic Open, the Denmark Open 2024 began on October 15. The tournament, a BWF World Tour Super 750 event, will take place at Arena Fyn in Odense, Denmark.

Two-time Olympic medalist PV Sindhu and semi-finalist Lakshya Sen will be playing their second consecutive tournament after competing at the Arctic Open last week.

In the men’s singles, Denmark’s Victor Axelsen is the top seed, while An Se Young of South Korea leads the draw in the women’s singles. Axelsen is aiming for a second title in the tournament at home and his first since 2021.

Sindhu, who is ranked 18th in the BWF rankings, will lead India’s challenge in the women’s singles. At the Artic Open she lost in the first round to WR 28 Michelle Li of Canada. Meanwhile, Lakshya had to be eliminated in the second round after suffering a walkover in the first round.
