Here’s how to watch Oregon Football’s Week 8 game against Purdue

It’s only been a few days since the Oregon Ducks won the biggest game in the history of Autzen Stadium, but things move fast in the college football world and Oregon is already focused on its next opponent: the Purdue Boilermakers.

Purdue will be the Ducks’ first road game since UCLA, and skill-wise, the Boilermakers have been comparable to the UCLA Bruins for most of the season. However, Purdue made a change at quarterback, switching to Ryan Browne as the full-time starter in place of the injured Hudson Card following its strong performance against Illinois. The Boilermakers have upset top-five teams in their home stadium in the past, so Ducks fans shouldn’t take this game lightly.

Last week, Oregon vs. Ohio State averaged 10.2 million viewers – the highest for a Big Ten regular-season game since 2008. Oregon vs. Purdue likely won’t reach those highs, but this is still an important game for the No. 2 team in the country.

What to expect

If all goes well for Oregon, this game will look a lot different than the last game against Ohio State. Purdue is one of the worst teams in the Big Ten, and while it looked good against Illinois last week, it still shouldn’t be a problem for the Ducks. Right now, Oregon has a four-point advantage, which might be a bit much, but it’s safe to assume the Ducks will have this game in hand early on.

What is at stake

Now that Oregon has defeated Ohio State, it is the sole leader in the Big Ten title race, expanding and sharpening the target Oregon already had on its back. Purdue isn’t particularly impressive, but along with every team left on the Ducks’ schedule, it’s capable of beating Oregon. The Ducks won their toughest game of the regular season. The key now is to get their business together so they can head into the Big Ten Championship Game with a 12-0 record.
