In Mount Olivet, Kentucky, 32-year-old Torilena Fields is at the center of a shocking crime. The charges against her include murder and the use of body parts, Spectrum News reports.

Police found Fields’ mother’s body in the garden of the house, while other human remains were discovered in the oven in the kitchen. According to the prosecution, Torilena killed her mother Trudy Fields by shooting and stabbing her. The prosecution alleges that she was not under the influence of extreme emotional disturbances that could have justified her actions.

On October 9, 2024, a worker working at the property in Mount Olivet alerted authorities after discovering the body in the yard. Police found the mutilated body, a bloody mattress and blood stains on the porch and back door. The indictment further describes that Fields is said to have dismembered her mother’s body and heated body parts in an oven until they were charred. She is also accused of torturing and killing a dog without legal justification.

When she was arrested, Torilena Fields had blood on her face, hands and clothing. They are currently being held at the Bourbon County Detention Center and the murder investigation is ongoing.
