Malfunction in the App Store: Apps cannot currently be loaded

Anyone who is currently having a problem downloading an app onto their iPhone is not alone. As our Netzwelt trouble reporter for the App Store shows, many of you are currently having problems downloading apps. Corresponding messages can also be found on X.

A test in the editorial office confirmed the problem. The download starts, but then stops again without an error message. It is irrelevant whether the download is started via a WiFi connection or the mobile network. The difficulties are not only limited to Germany, but also affect other countries. At least there are numerous reports about the problem from all parts of the world on X (formerly Twitter).

Apple does not yet list the problem on its system status page. This means the App Store still works smoothly. The manufacturer from Cupertino only confirmed problems with the “Volume Purchase Program”. As a rule, Apple reacts quickly to such an error and fixes it within a few hours. At the moment you also have to practice patience.
