Aying – Videos document violence against animal rights activists – Munich district

Videos from the protest against an oxen race show activists being pushed and shoved. The organization Animal Rebellion is thinking about the consequences, the organizers criticize what they believe to be dangerous actions by the demonstrators.

The oxen were supposedly petted. At least that’s what the boys’ club that organized the ox race in Aying last Saturday told us afterwards. But some animal protection activists who stormed the racetrack and protested against the event with posters were treated rudely. Videos show a man in leather pants pushing a young protester and pushing him against a wooden barrier. A young woman is pushed against a metal fence. Members of the “Animal Rebellion” organization who were there in Aying also report being kicked. However, they have not yet filed a complaint.
