AVM has now released the latest FritzOS version 8 for the now eight-year-old Fritzbox 4040. This means that seven Fritz boxes now have the latest OS.

The latest operating system for the Fritzboxes is called FritzOS 8. It has been available for some time for the Fritzboxes 5540 Fiber, 7590 AX, 7530 AX, 7530, 6660 and 6591 Cable, and now owners of the now eight-year-old Fritzbox 4040 can also use it You are looking forward to the latest update, which brings more than 60 new features. FritzOS 8 is available for the following Fritz boxes:

  • FritzBox 7530AX
  • FritzBox 7590AX

In addition, AVM has published the Fritz Laboratory for download for the cable models Fritzbox 6670 Cable and Fritzbox 6690 Cable. They are available in versions 7.90-116335 and 7.90-116384.
