Premier League on TV: Highlights can also be seen on Sky

Premier League: Why can’t the English watch all the games on TV?

With the current TV contract, which was concluded in 2018 and is valid until 2025, the games on Saturday at 4 p.m. and Sunday at 3 p.m. (CET) cannot be seen on television in England – that’s 180 parties per season. The so-called is responsible for this “Blackout rule”which prohibits football games from being broadcast live on television on Saturdays between 2:45 p.m. and 5:15 p.m.
