Sleek, stylish and reasonably feature-packed, the OnePlus Watch 2R is cheaper than ever

Sleek, stylish and reasonably feature-packed, the OnePlus Watch 2R is cheaper than ever

Do you want an ultra-light smartwatch for the holiday season at an extremely affordable price, with great battery life and good overall features? The OnePlus Watch 2R seems to fit that description almost too well, and with an unprecedented $50 discount, I see no reason why you should wait another second, let alone four or five weeks, for a potentially better Black Friday deal , which may never happen.

If that doesn’t sound like a very big price cut, you probably don’t know how much the OnePlus Watch 2R normally costs. The list price of $229.99 felt practically unbeatable when the Android-compatible portable device made its commercial debut in July. So it’s certainly something special to see this bad boy already reduced in price by 22 percent.
The latest and greatest OnePlus Store deal on the brand’s newest and second-best smartwatch is made even more special with the inclusion of a $29.99 replacement band in your choice of Black or Emerald Green at no additional charge.
Of course, the OnePlus Watch 2R is still slightly less feature-rich than the “regular” OnePlus Watch 2, which also happens to be available at an unprecedented discount at the time of writing this article. But at $179.99, this newer and (slightly) more modest device also remains cheaper than its big brother and is clearly aiming to delight as many Wear OS fans as possible with its excellent value for money.

Like the OnePlus Watch 2, the 2R runs two different operating systems for (very) different use cases and offers up to 12 days of battery life in a special “power saving mode” that essentially turns off both Google’s Wear OS platform and an otherwise super high-quality 1, 43-inch AMOLED touchscreen with 466 x 466 pixel resolution.

The arsenal of health monitoring and fitness tracking is… not quite as extensive as what models like the OnePlus Watch 2 and Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 have to offer in the same department, but again, it’s hard to complain, if you can pay as little as $180 and keep track of everything from your heart rate to your sleep quality, blood oxygen, stress levels, exercise, and general well-being with little to no effort.
