REPORTS

shots fired, 2024-10160229, S. Glebe Road at Columbia Pike. On October 16, at approximately 8:04 p.m., police were dispatched to a report of a fight. The preliminary investigation indicates that the male suspect and male victim were involved in a physical altercation during which the suspect’s firearm was discharged. The suspect then fled the scene on foot. No injuries were reported. Officers conducted a search of the area which produced negative results. The suspect is described as a light-skinned man who was wearing a black hoodie and dark pants. The investigation is ongoing.

ROBBERY, 2024-10160221, 1400 block of S. Hayes Street. On October 16th at approximately 7:29 p.m., police were dispatched to a report of a theft. Upon arrival, it was discovered that the male suspect entered the store, hid merchandise in a backpack and left the store without paying. When confronted by loss prevention personnel, the suspect made threatening statements before fleeing the scene on foot with the stolen merchandise. Officers on scene conducted a search of the area which produced negative results. The suspect is described as a stocky black teenage male, 6’5″ tall, dressed all in black, carrying a red backpack and black flip-flops. The investigation is ongoing.

BURGLARY, 2024-10170020, 2700 block of Wilson Boulevard. At approximately 3:36 a.m. on October 17, police were dispatched to report a break-in that had just occurred. Upon arrival, it was determined that the suspect(s) forced their way into the closed store by breaking a window and stealing merchandise before fleeing the scene. Responding officers established a perimeter and searched the business and surrounding area for the suspects, which produced negative results. There is currently no description of the suspect. The investigation is ongoing.
