Where is College GameDay this week? Location, schedule, guest picks for Week 8 on ESPN

College football has been a must watch over the last two weeks.

The top 25 teams are not certain and excitement is the theme for October. No. 16 Utah, No. 2 Ohio State and No. 9 Ole Miss all lost last week. Army and Navy continued their undefeated seasons, as did Oregon, BYU, Miami, Indiana, Texas and Iowa State.

College GameDay featured a top-five matchup between Oregon and Ohio State last week and another this week.

Here’s everything you need to know about College GameDay for Week 8 of the college football season.

Where is the College GameDay location for Week 8?

  • Location: Austin, Texas
  • Time: 9 a.m. ET
  • Matchup: No. 5 Georgia vs. No. 1 Texas

“College GameDay” will be on hand when No. 1 Texas hosts No. 5 Georgia in a huge SEC matchup that has numerous College Football Playoff implications even in mid-October.

It will be a night kickoff at DKR-Texas Memorial Stadium, with kickoff scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET and the game airing on ABC and ESPN+.

This will be the first time the Longhorns and Bulldogs have played since Texas joined the SEC this year. These programs have met five times, the first time in 1949. The last was a 28-21 win by Texas in 2019.

“College GameDay” schedule on ESPN

  • Start time: 9 a.m. ET
  • TV channels: ESPN
  • Streaming: ESPN+, Fubo

College GameDay takes place on the South Mall on the University of Texas campus. The “Pit” opens to visitors at 6:30 a.m. ET, but the show itself doesn’t begin until 9:00 a.m. ET.

Even with a night kick, “College Gameday” will still air in the morning, with the analyst panel covering all of college football Saturday.

The show will air as usual on ESPN. Streaming options include ESPN+ and Fubo, which offers a free trial to new users.
