Politics and football are planning a central location

In German football there will be a central commission for stadium bans in the future. At a meeting in Munich, the interior ministries and the heads of the DFB and DFL agreed to exclude rioters and violent criminals from stadiums more uniformly in the future. A corresponding commission should be formed and based at the German Football League, said Bavaria’s Interior Minister Joachim Herrmann (CSU) after the conversation. Details of this new approach should still be discussed.

Politicians believe that they can ensure less violence by consistently excluding fans from football arenas. However, experts and fan representatives believe that such measures are unlikely to have any impact and are calling for more dialogue instead of sanctions.
