The next fight card on the UFC schedule, UFC Vegas 99, takes place on Saturday, October 19th at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada. A middleweight bout between Anthony Hernandez and Michel Pereira serves as the main event for the UFC Fight Night event. In the co-main event, Rob Font meets Kyler Phillips in the bantamweight division.

Hernandez (12-2-0-1) enters Saturday’s UFC Fight Night card as the No. 13 fighter in the official UFC middleweight rankings. Pereira (31-11-0-2) is one place behind his opponent in these rankings.

Font (20-8) is ranked No. 10 in the 135-pound rankings, while Phillips (12-2) is ranked No. 14 at bantamweight.

UFC Vegas 99 takes place on Saturday, October 19th at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. The main event begins at 7:00 p.m. ET on ESPN+. Prelims begin at 4 p.m. ET on the same streaming network.

UFC Vegas 99 Main Event

Hernandez went 1-2 in his first three fights with the UFC, but has remained undefeated since then, riding a five-fight winning streak. The 30-year-old earned a Performance of the Night submission win over Roman Kopylov at UFC 298 in February.

Hernandez has earned two knockout victories, eight submissions and two decisions throughout his MMA career.

Once known primarily as a showman, Pereira can still cause excitement in the Octagon, but today he is a more focused and disciplined fighter than when he made his UFC debut in May 2019.

The more controlled version of Pereira is on an eight-fight winning streak. The 31-year-old Pereira has secured fight night bonuses in his last four wins, suffering three stoppages in that span. Pereira is coming off a submission win over Ihor Potieria at UFC 301 in May.

Pereira has 11 knockout victories, nine submissions and 11 decision wins over the course of his MMA career.
