Man charged with murder in shooting in Red Bird neighborhood

DALLAS – Three days after a fatal shooting in Dallas’ Red Bird neighborhood, a man has been arrested and charged with murder.

The shooting happened around 11 a.m. Sunday on W. Camp Wisdom Road. right off I-35 East. When police arrived, they found a man in the driver’s seat and the passenger in the front seat had both been shot.

Both victims were taken to the hospital. The driver died, the passenger is expected to survive.

On Wednesday, police arrested 23-year-old Jailon Anderson on murder charges. He is currently in the Dallas County Jail on a $1 million bond. Online court records show Anderson had a warrant for aggravated robbery in Denton County. The deposit in this charge is $100,000.
