Starting keeper Harry Kane from FC Bayern considers his strongest opponent

“I’ve met some great strikers, especially in the Premier League. But I think the most difficult of them and the one who had the most quality is Harry Kane,” the Manchester City goalkeeper told ESPN.

Ederson has been guarding City’s goal since 2017 and can look back on several encounters with Kane, who played for Tottenham for a long time before moving to Bayern in the summer of 2023.

Kane has “absurd quality, both in the penalty area and outside of it,” emphasized Ederson. “He is one of the best strikers I have met,” continued the Brazilian.

Kane played a total of 16 times against City with Spurs, scoring five goals for the England national team.

Among other things, Kane scored a brace in a 3-2 away win at City in February 2022. Ederson had to watch first hand as Kane scored the winning goal for Tottenham in the fifth minute of stoppage time.
