3rd Football League – Hot 1860 week started “explosively” in Unterhaching – Bavaria

Munich (dpa / lby) – Coach Argirios Giannikis goes into the next English week of the 3rd football league with a clear wish. This begins for the “Lions” on Sunday (7.30 p.m.) with the neighborhood duel at SpVgg Unterhaching. Last season the “Lions” lost both teams against Haching. “It’s not nice,” Giannikis said.

The recent past was nicer. “Of course we remember the last English week with nine points,” said the 1860 coach, referring to the three wins in Bielefeld, against Hanover and in Dortmund. “We will try to generate the maximum number of points this English week as well.” “We wouldn’t mind,” said Giannikis.

The 44-year-old is expecting “an atmospheric game with explosiveness” in Unterhaching. After the recent 2:3 against Wehen Wiesbaden, it’s all about collecting points away from home. Only then can the “lions”, which have become more stable, orient themselves somewhat upwards again.

The focus is on 1860 goalkeeper René Vollath, who was in goal for the Hachingers last season.
