USC and Maryland are both recovering from disappointing losses to face each other in a Big Ten matchup this weekend in College Park.

In a highly touted New Era Conference showdown against Penn State last week, the Trojans came up just short, losing 30-33 in overtime. USC took an early lead in the first half, but the Nittany Lions rallied from a 14-point deficit and ultimately sealed the win with a field goal in OT.

Moss and his offense were productive, but the Trojans still struggled to close the ball down.

Meanwhile, on home soil, Maryland suffered a brutal 37-10 loss to Northwestern. The Terps never had a response to the Wildcats and fell behind by several touchdowns early. Whatever the case, quarterback Billy Edwards Jr. finished the game with an impressive 296 yards and a rushing touchdown.
