Pika is a video AI from the United States. For example, you can use ready-made filters to blow up objects or shrink them. The effects seem very realistic, as if the AI ​​was defying physics. You can also pack your own ideas into text and have them generated. This creates clips up to 5 seconds long. Pika’s videos appear very realistic. Camera movements and special effects quickly make the clips look cinematic.

With the free version you get 150 credits per month so you can create 10 videos. However, it takes quite a long time to generate a video. With a subscription it should go faster. The standard package costs 8 US dollars per month (approx. 7.40 euros). This means you have 700 credits available per month. The Pro subscription for $28 (approx. 25.80 euros) with 2,000 monthly credits and the Unlimited subscription with unlimited options for 76 US dollars per month (approx. 70.10 euros) offer more options.

KlingAI

The free version of the Chinese AI Kling AI can be used to create videos that are up to 5 seconds long. However, the AI ​​can also generate videos of up to two minutes. Sora, OpenAI’s video AI, which is not currently available to the general public, can only create videos of up to one minute.

Without a subscription you get a small quota of credits every day, for us it was 66. With 10 credits you can generate a video. The results are promising. The AI ​​can realistically represent complex movements, for example of cats. However, some objects looked a bit deformed in our test.

Be careful with usage rights

Anyone who wants to use the AI ​​results commercially should be particularly careful. It is often unclear which sources an AI was fed with. Often it is YouTube, Google and Co. Therefore, copyright infringements can arise in the generated content. Pika prohibits commercializing content created with the free version. With a subscription, however, commercialization should be possible. Kling AI, on the other hand, makes it clear in the terms of use that the content generated is exclusively for private use. They may not be monetized.

If you want to be on the safe side when using content commercially, you should use Adobe Firefly AI. This was fed exclusively with data from the in-house Creative Cloud. This means that Adobe owns all license rights to the content used. Unintentional copyright infringements are therefore excluded.
