The game, which raises funds for mental health charities and supports the name, image and image collectives that both schools support, pits two of Ohio’s top Division I men’s basketball teams in one public showdown that no one will consider for the regular season.

Instead, both coaches said they want to use this game as a litmus test to assess where they stand in their preseason. The game will feature two 20-minute halves, and while Ohio State is expected to be without center Aaron Bradshaw, coach Jake Diebler said the plan is to play everyone and see who can do what in a hostile environment. There are also hopes that this will become an annual four-team event, possibly during the regular season.
