The Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Open Beta starts for everyone – even without pre-order. There is an update, new content for BO6 and more XP for free.

Hamburg – In Early Access, only players who pre-ordered Black Ops 6 or had an Xbox Game Pass subscription had direct access to the beta. However, the BO6 open beta is free for all players. This weekend, Call of Duty also has some new features and patch notes for you.

• Start of the Open Beta: September 6th, 6pm German time (the servers usually go online a few minutes earlier)
• End of beta: 9 September, 6 p.m.
• Download size: Depending on the platform between 15 and 80 GB
• Preload available: The download has been active since August 28, 2024
• Platforms: PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC
• Beta progress: Will not be included in the release version of Black Ops 6

Changes and patch notes – What to expect in the second beta weekend

New in the BO6 Open Beta: With the start of the second weekend, Treyarch is bringing some exciting new features and fixes based on player feedback. Here are the most important patch notes at a glance:

• Level cap increase: Level up to level 30 (previously only up to level 20) – this unlocks new rewards
• New weapons and equipment: DM-10 semi-automatic DMR, Tanto. 22 SMG, melee axe, ninja perk, wildcards, killstreaks
• New game modes: Gunfight, Face Off Kill Order
• New maps: Babylon, Stakeout (strike map)
• A balance update

Patch notes: Following feedback from the first weekend, Treyarch has made some important adjustments. Here are the highlights:

• Weapon Tuning: After the first weekend, there were complaints about the Jackal PDW in BO6 being too strong. An adjustment to this meta weapon is pretty certain.
• Spawn tuning: Spawns have been optimized to provide a fair and dynamic gaming experience.
• Faster Weapon Progression: The weapon XP rate has been increased so you can unlock new attachments and weapons faster.
• Improved audio optimization: Footsteps and enemy movements are now more clearly audible to help you better orient yourself on the battlefield (patch released during Early Access).
• Some CoD players will receive XP for the Battle Pass of MW3 and Warzone
