Fans in Germany have several options for following the new NFL season. They can watch live from kick-off to the Superbowl.

In the upcoming NFL season, football fans in Germany will once again have several options for watching the games live. The games can be viewed on various platforms, both on free TV and via live stream. RTL, DAZN and the NFL Game Pass offer comprehensive broadcasts that cover different needs and budgets. This means you won’t miss a second from the kick-off to the Superbowl.

NFL on free TV: RTL remains the main broadcast location

RTL will remain the NFL’s main free-TV partner in Germany next season. The Cologne-based media group has secured the broadcasting rights until 2028 and will show up to three games per week on its main channel and on the specialty channel NITRO. In addition, one game per week will be offered exclusively on the streaming service RTL+.

NFL live stream: DAZN and RTL+ on offer

There are several options available for live streams of NFL games. DAZN has further expanded its NFL rights package and continues to broadcast the individual games in the early morning hours on the weekend as well as the popular “RedZone” conference. New additions include two exclusive games on Sunday with kick-off times at 7:00 p.m. and 10:25 p.m.

In addition, all games can be watched via DAZN with the NFL Game Pass, which has been available through DAZN since last season. RTL+ also offers live streams and shows one game per week exclusively that is not available on free TV. There are various subscriptions for using RTL+, starting at 8.99 euros per month.

Playoffs and Super Bowl: All providers in the race

In the postseason, NFL fans in Germany are well catered for by all providers. DAZN, RTL and NFL Game Pass will broadcast the entire playoffs, including Super Bowl LVIII and the Pro Bowl. The NFL game on November 10 in Munich, in which the Carolina Panthers will face the New York Giants in the Allianz Arena, will also be broadcast live by all three providers.

Cost overview: How much does the subscription cost?

There are different pricing structures for accessing NFL games. DAZN offers the NFL in its “Super Sports” and “Unlimited” packages, which are available from 24.99 euros per month. The NFL Game Pass can also be booked separately from 17.99 euros per month.

RTL+ offers its services starting at 8.99 euros per month, although there are also more expensive packages with extended features. The NFL Game Pass is also available via Amazon Prime Video, although this requires a Prime subscription and an additional amount for the Game Pass.

New partnership: NFL Game Pass on Amazon Prime

A new feature this season is the partnership between DAZN and Amazon. The NFL Game Pass can now also be booked through Amazon Prime Video. This allows users to stream all NFL games of the 2024/25 season via Prime Video, but they currently have to pay the regular price of the corresponding DAZN packages.
