Roma cuts wage costs by 37 million euros, positive record effect on the balance sheet

The full transfer window allowed Roma to reduce team costs while improving the team’s overall balance in terms of costs.

After eleven new signings (twelve if we count Angelino, whose contract was finalised in June), Roma spent a total of 109 million euros on transfers last summer.

Accordingly The MessengerRoma boss Daniele De Rossi is pleased with the club’s efforts to live up to its standards.

This year the club has changed its policy: fewer loans, rejuvenating the squad and cutting salary costs.

The Souloukou-Ghisolfi duo managed to reduce salary costs by 37 million euros net over the summer.

The departures had a positive impact on the club’s balance sheet in the 24/25 season, amounting to around 91.6 million euros.

Roma’s goal remains the same: to qualify for next year’s Champions League. It is up to De Rossi and his men to achieve that goal.
