Kareena Kapoor Khan is gearing up for her next mystery thriller, The Buckingham Murders. The film is slated to hit the screens on September 13. Ahead of the release, Kareena shared a series of BTS photos on social media, giving fans a glimpse of the shooting in all weather conditions. The trailer was also released recently.

Sharing photos on her Instagram account, Kareena wrote, “Shooting in all weather conditions. PS: Hot bag to the rescue haha! #7DaysToGo #TheBuckinghamMurders in theatres from 13th September.” In the photos, we can see Kareena Kapoor battling a bad cold and holding a hot bag. The photos went viral and fans were seen reacting to them. One of the fans wrote, “Such a magical look.” Many left heart emojis in the comments section.

During a recent discussion at Netflix’s The Actors’ Roundtable 2023, Kareena Kapoor gave insights into her role in the upcoming film The Buckingham Murders. She revealed important details and revealed that her character in the film is a grieving mother. The narrative unfolds with a tragic incident in the opening scene where her character’s child is shot dead, which triggers her transformation into a detective. She flees her hometown and arrives in another one, where she grapples with the complexities of the case assigned to her.

Kareena Kapoor said, “I think I loved the role a lot because it is my first time playing a detective and I am a huge fan of crime dramas.” The actress admitted that the role was difficult as the character’s grief made her uncomfortable but she also found a lot of joy in playing it. She added, “It is a career-defining role for me and one of my best roles.” Kareena mentioned that she had requested the director to make it a four-part series as she did not want to let go of the role.

The Buckingham Murders received critical acclaim at its world premiere at the 2023 BFI London Film Festival. The film was also screened at the 2023 Mumbai Film Festival at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre in October.
