Official PlayStation graphic shows the new console

Official PlayStation graphic shows the new console

It is only a simple graphic, but we do not know this PlayStation console that Sony “showed” in the 30th anniversary post. PS5Pro Not officially presented yet, but everything indicated that the previous leaks were correct. Including the appearance of the console.

For more than a year, there has been a rumor that a PlayStation 5 Pro will be released sometime in late 2024. The “new” console is expected to be unveiled this month. However, Sony seems to have openly shown the hardware before the real announcement.

The official PlayStation blog announced plans to celebrate PlayStation’s 30th anniversary. Along with a few events, there was also a graphic showing silhouettes of PlayStation consoles, accessories, and handhelds from the past. Right in the middle of this graphic, there is a model of a PS5 console that hasn’t been officially revealed yet (between the “PlayStation logo” and “30,” which we’ve enlarged for you below).

PS5 Pro: Simple graphic shows what leaks have already suggested

Right in the middle you can see the PS5 model in question. Although Sony doesn’t provide any context, this version of the current PlayStation console points to it, which is consistent with leaks that have surfaced in connection with the PS5 Pro. Several lines in the middle part of the console.

It doesn’t seem like much, but this would be the first “official look” at the new PlayStation hardware. Essentially, the Pro version will not differ from the PS5 Slim. They are said to be a bit “thicker” and have the lines in the middle. And of course, offer more power. Otherwise, why all the effort?

We are curious to see when Sony will officially present the new hardware. After all, there is also a rumor that the PS5 Pro will be postponed to 2025.
