Two injured in overnight shooting – Salisbury Post

According to authorities, two people were injured in a shooting on Oak Mountain Road around 9 p.m. Sunday evening.

Officers from the Locke Fire Department and Rowan County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a shooting and found one victim at the scene. Another victim was transported by private vehicle to Novant Health Rowan Medical Center. The victim at the scene was reportedly transported by helicopter to a Charlotte hospital for treatment of serious injuries and was in critical condition as of yesterday evening. The condition of the second victim is unknown.

Investigators requested a fire department light tower to assist in examining the scene of the accident.
