PS Plus Extra, Premium: Reveal time, date, leaks and predictions for September 2024 | Gaming | Entertainment

PS Plus subscribers are counting down the days until the PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium games reveal for September 2024. The PS Plus Extra and Premium offering, which consists of around a dozen PS4, PS5, PlayStation Classics and PSVR 2 titles, will be revealed on September 11 at 4:30pm BST UK time. There’s also a small chance that Sony will make the announcement during today’s PS5 Pro reveal event, so keep checking back for the latest leaks and official announcements. The next batch of PS Plus Extra and Premium games will be available to download and install from the morning of September 17. It’s worth noting that a number of games will be leaving the service on the same day.

In a surprising move, the first-party game “Horizon Forbidden West” will be leaving the PS Plus Extra on September 17th.

In the sequel to Horizon Forbidden Dawn, the main character Aloy travels to the “Forbidden West” to find a cure for a mysterious plague.

Fans will be hoping that Horizon Forbidden West will be replaced by something of equal scale and scope in September.

Other games leaving the service include Unpacking, 13 Sentinels Aegis Rim, Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2, Planet Coaster, Marvel’s Midnight Suns, Alien Isolation, Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, Nier Replicant, Spiritfarer, Cloudpunk, and a variety of Star Ocean releases.

As for the games that will be added to PS Plus Extra, fans on Reddit believe that God of War Ragnarok could be added to the lineup in September.

The inclusion of a blockbuster first-party game would certainly make sense, especially with Horizon Forbidden West disappearing from the lineup.

This also leaves room for games like The Last of Us: Part 1, The Last of Us 2 and Gran Turismo 7 – the latter is also playable on PSVR 2.

Other games frequently mentioned in the monthly Reddit prediction posts include Suicide Squad Kill the Justice League, even though it only launched in January.

Then there are the usual suspects like Forspoken, Sonic Frontiers, Hades, Dead Island 2 and Nier Automata. Much like the God of War Ragnarok scenario, Nier Automata would make sense given the exit of Nier Replicant.

“High on Life” is also frequently mentioned alongside titles such as “Dead Space Remake,” “Robocop,” and various LEGO releases.

Curiously, Final Fantasy 16 is one of the most selected games in the thread, although it feels way too early for such a high-profile game.

Other games on the list include Far Cry 5, The Stanley Parable, Resident Evil Village, Kingdom Come Deliverance and Stray.
