Solution found for abandoned bus stop in Weyregg

In the course of the ongoing construction measures along the B152 Seeleitenstraße and a comprehensive traffic engineering review, it was found that the stop in the Steinwand district no longer meets the required safety criteria.

Continued operation was therefore no longer permitted and it was closed in July. While some residents were able to understand the decision in discussions with tips, others expressed concerns about accessibility and mobility in rural areas. Weyregg’s mayor Michael Stur promised his support for a new bus stop location at the time. Now this has been found not far from the old bus stop.

“Many citizens submitted their suggestions to me, whereupon I contacted the authorities, the road maintenance department and the transport company.” “Thanks to the excellent cooperation of all those involved, we can now proudly present a convincing alternative,” says Stur happily.

The new stop is located on both sides of the street in the immediate vicinity of the Steinwand sailing school. It will go into operation in September.
