UK launch significantly weaker than Assassin’s Creed Mirage

At launch in the UK, Star Wars Outlaws only achieved about half as many sales as Assassin’s Creed Mirage, also published by Ubisoft.

Star Wars Outlaws, released at the end of August for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and PC, like several Ubisoft titles before it, failed to meet high expectations.

Right from the start, Outlaws performed 55 percent worse in physical sales on the UK market than Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, which was released last year.

New figures from Gamesindustry boss Christopher Dring show that Star Wars Outlaws is falling short of expectations even in combined physical and digital sales.

In the UK, the game sold only about half as many copies as Assassin’s Creed Mirage after its release in October 2023.

At least Star Wars Outlaws can hold its own against Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, which will be released in December 2023. Compared to its own competitors, the Star Wars title has 52 percent more sales during the launch period.
