This is not the first time that there have been problems with the roller coaster “Blue Fire” at Europa-Park Rust. But the ride is now back in normal operation.

Rust (dpa/lsw) – During the incident at Europa-Park near Rust, passengers waited a total of 40 minutes on the “Blue Fire” roller coaster. The track remained tilted sideways before the first climb on Wednesday. A total of 20 people were affected, said a spokesperson for the park. The track was put back into operation that afternoon. “The problem has been solved.” The train was carefully analyzed. A small part required for the magnetic start was weakened and replaced.

“A train on the roller coaster was unable to overcome the first climbs at around 1 p.m. due to insufficient energy at the start and came to a standstill there,” said the spokesman on Wednesday. The train was therefore able to be driven back as planned so that guests could leave the ride on the ground. “At no time did a dangerous situation arise. The safety and well-being of guests are always the top priority for Europa-Park.”

This is not the first incident with the roller coaster. The “Blue Fire” had already failed to complete a curve in April and rolled back four times. A spokeswoman for the park spoke of a so-called rollback. At the time, technical reasons were identified. The roller coaster rolled back twice with passengers. After that, there were two attempts without passengers. The error has been corrected, it was said.
