Now BVB: Heidenheim will continue to surprise after super start

Staying in the first Bundesliga: That is the goal, says one of the bosses of the football club 1. FC Heidenheim. That sounds very modest. After all, Heidenheim is currently at the top of the table.

But one thing is also clear: It is unusual that Heidenheim is the most successful team. The team has only been playing in the first division since last season.

In addition, the season is still long and there are games against strong teams to come. This is also the case this Friday. Heidenheim will play against Borussia Dortmund. The quality of the team is enormous, says Heidenheim head coach Frank Schmidt. “It will be a big challenge to beat this BVB away in front of more than 80,000 spectators.”

But the Dortmund players also praised their opponents before the game. Heidenheim is a well-rehearsed team, said Dortmund coach Nuri Sahin. “I think they’re really good.”
