River Road Middle School student arrested for threatening to commit massacre

AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) – Officials have arrested a River Road Middle School student for threatening to carry out a shooting spree.

According to the Potter County Sheriff’s Office, school officials were notified today of a student’s threat regarding a school shooting.

According to officials, the student tried to involve other students in a shooting spree at the school.

According to the Potter County Sheriff’s Office, the student admitted to making the threats.

They were arrested and taken to the High Plains Youth Center and charged with making terroristic threats and fear of serious bodily harm.

The names of the students involved are not being released because they are minors. Their parents have been notified by the Potter County Sheriff’s Office.
